My role
In my IC (Individual contributor) role on the design system, I focused on improving design velocity and operational efficiency for product teams. This included defining, documenting, and maintaining processes and guidelines for reusable components, as well as evolving system components, patterns, and tooling to support consistency, scalability, and cross-team adoption. I operated as a design systems subject-matter expert, influencing teams through high-quality system artifacts, close collaboration with design and engineering partners, and the promotion of established best practices. I regularly owned complex, high-impact initiatives typically associated with Staff-or Principal-level design scope. Continuously talking to customers and conducting discovery to uncovering problems and proposing thoughtful, evidence-based solutions.

FloQast integrates AI throughout its platform via specific "AI Agents" and the FloQast Transform product, which allows for custom automation with no coding required.
FloQast Close: Manages the entire close process, from checklist management to real-time GL ties-out, with AI assisting in task management and data validation.
AI Transaction Matching: Uses machine learning to automate complex matching scenarios across different data sources like bank statements and the general ledger.
Journal Entry Agent: Automates the end-to-end creation and posting of standard journal entries, such as accruals.
Data Transformation Agent: Standardizes unstructured data from various source systems using natural language prompts, ensuring consistency for reporting and compliance.
AI Detections & Testing: Continuously monitors transactions for errors ahead of the close and performs a first pass on audit testing for internal compliance (SOX).
As an individual contributor, I led the design of high-level, complex features with significant cross-functional and organizational impact. I drove end-to-end design execution—from problem definition and systems thinking through detailed interaction and visual design—while aligning closely with product, engineering, and design leadership. These initiatives often required navigating ambiguous requirements, influencing without authority, and making durable design decisions that balanced user needs, technical constraints, and long-term platform scalability. Continuously talking to customers and conducting discovery to uncovering problems and proposing thoughtful, evidence-based solutions.
